India demolished England 69-18 in Ahmedabad on Tuesday to qualify for the semi-final in the final group game for both teams at the ongoing Kabaddi World Cup. Then hosts, who needed a big win to secure their berth in the last four, were outstanding with their raids as Pardeep and Sandeep Narwal ran riot in attack. Ajay Thakur, consistent as ever, crossed the 10-point mark for the second time in the tournament.

It was Sandeep Narwal who started things off for India with a Super Raid, and they never took their foot off the pedal since then. England's star raider, Tope Adewalure could not get a point as the Indian chain kept a high arc in defence.

England's raiders Someshwar Kalia and Keshav Gupta gave the Indian defence few worries. They had no chance as India's raid team amassed points with ease. The defending champions had effected an all-out and went into half-time with a commanding 43-6 lead.

India dominated in the second half and effected another all-out. With this win, India finish second in Group A with 21 points, four behind South Korea, who topped the group.
