Milan Singh was lucky to be on the pitch but with 10 minutes from time, rescued Delhi Dynamos by scoring the equalising goal as the match ended 1-1.

FC Pune City had taken the lead against the run of play towards the end of the first half through a looping header from Tato. Edel Bete's goalmouth heroics on several occasions, stood in the way of Dynamos getting the ball into the net.

There will be few to dispute that this performance from goalkeeper Edel was among the finest that one has witnessed in the Indian Super League so far. If not for the Cameroonian, the Dynamos could have easily registered about a half-a-dozen goals, such was his impact.

It was one-way traffic in both halves of the game. With Antonio Habas being a manager with a possession-based ethos, it was puzzling as to how Pune toiled so much to get a kick of the ball. Dynamos striker David Addy came close to opening the deadlock as early as the second minute but the Ghanaian skewed his shot wide of the post.

The highlight among all the saves that Bete pulled off during the evening was from Milan Singh's deflected shot in the 12th minute, which the goalie acrobatically tipped the ball around his left. The impressive Ruben Rocha forced a fabulous save from Bete next, this time with his fingertips.

It was as though fate had played a cruel joke on Gianluca Zambrotta's side when Pune shockingly went into the lead. Tato's header had left the Dynamos goalkeeper and the defenders in no-man's land, and the ball found its way to the side of the net.

The Dynamos continued to raid the Pune goal with Marcelinho having a clear shot on goal early in the second half but the Brazilian winger could only find the side netting. Even on this occasion, Bete had made it uncomfortable for Marcelinho, closing down clear-cut shooting angles with his positioning.

Milan Singh made a horrendous two-footed lunge on Mohamed Sissoko, and should have received his marching orders but was shown a yellow. Meanwhile, Richard Gadze continued the Dynamos' wave of attacks with a shot from only a few yards out. Here, Bete went low to deny the home side.

Quite ironically, it was Milan Singh's shot from the edge of the box on the left that had Bete scrambling after the Pune keeper was blindsided by the defenders in front of him as the ball rolled into the net, 10 minutes from time.
