The big news: BCCI fails to get state associations on board

The Board of Control for Cricket in India emailed the Justice Lodha Committee on Saturday stating that the cricket body would not be able to implement the Supreme Court-approved reforms owing to opposition from state cricket bodies, reported Times of India.

In an affidavit sent by e-mail to the Justice Lodha committee secretary Gopal Sankaranarayanan, the BCCI said that efforts have failed to make its member associations fall in line and pass a resolution to implement the reforms. The board president Anurag Thakur and secretary Ajay Shirke gave a status report saying, "Unless the member associations vote in favour of the resolution, there is little the board can suo motu do about it."
