Delhi Dynamos came back from a goal down to play out a 2-2 draw against Atletico de Kolkata at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday. Delhi were looking for their fourth straight win but Atletico de Kolkata came back strongly from a 1-2 loss against FC Pune City last Sunday.

Kolkata drew first blood through Iain Hume in the first half. To make matters worse, Badara Badji received his second straight yellow card to make it a red and leave Delhi a player short.

However, ten-man Delhi drew inspirations from their previous three wins to begin the second half on a positive note. The effect was immediate as Milan Singh equalised in the 63rd minute, only for Kolkata’s Javi Lara to put the away team ahead again, eight minutes later.

But it was left to Delhi’s favourite Florent Malouda to have the final say of the match as the Frenchman showed tremendous skill three minutes later to equalise again for the Dynamos. With the draw, Delhi remain on top of the table with Kolkata in fourth place.

Brief scores:

Atletico de Kolkata 2 (Iain Hume, Javi Lara) drew with Delhi Dynamos 2 (Milan Singh, Florent Malouda)
