In its latest report filed with the Supreme Court, the Justice RM Lodha Panel has asked the apex court to disqualify Board of Control for Cricket in India office-bearers and appoint former Home Secretary GK Pillai as an observer, India Today has reported.

On October 17, the Supreme Court had reserved its order after the BCCI sought more time to implement the Lodha committee reforms. At the time, amicus curiae Gopal Subramaniam had requested the top court to appoint an administrator or have the Lodha committee look over BCCI administration.

In the BCCI’s defence, its counsel Kapil Sibal had said that the board had implemented several recommendations and that if they are given time, they will try to convince the state associations to accept the recommendations. The BCCI has remained firm on its objection to the “one-state-one-vote” recommendation.
