The Australian women’s team bounced back in the second match of their three-match series against India with a comprehensive 4-1 win in Melbourne on Friday.

The Aussies opened their scoring in the first quarter through Kathryn Slattery. Georgia Nanscawen doubled her side’s lead in the second quarter. Rani Rampal did pull one back for India with a well-taken field goal, but Ashley Fey restored Australia’s two-goal advantage seconds before the interval.

Australia made the victory all but certain in the final quarter as Edwina Bone converted a penalty corner to score her side’s fourth.

The third and final game will be played on November 27.
