England have brought in Keaton Jennings and Liam Dawson as replacements for the injured Haseeb Hameed and Zafar Ansari for the remaining two Tests against India, announced the England and Wales Cricket Board on Wednesday.

Jennings, an opening batsman, will be playing for the England Lions against United Arab Emirates in Dubai on Thursday. He has been brought in to replace Haseeb Hameed, who was was forced to leave for home after suffering a finger injury in Mohali.

Dawson, an all-rounder who recently played for Rangpur Riders in the Bangladesh Premier League, will replace Zafar Ansari, who has been struggling with a back injury he sustained in the second Test in Visakhapatnam.

Jennings, 24, was the leading run-scorer in the 2016 County Championship season with 1548 runs at an average of 64. He was captain of the South Africa Under-19 team and is also the son of former South Africa and Royal Challengers Bangalore coach Ray Jennings.
