A goal that is capable of winning the 2016 goal of the year may come from the Chilean Primera Division. On Sunday, Universidad de Concepción midfielder Alejandro Camargo scored a stunning goal from the half-line, which got the football world talking.

Goalkeeper Miguel Angel Pinto went to clear the ball and smashed it towards the opposition’s half. However, Camargo had other plans as he volleyed it back into the net, which secured the 3–1 victory for Camargo’s squad. Pinto’s kick failed to clear the centre circle, and the rest of it became a nightmare for the goalkeeper. Camargo volleyed the ball back and watched as it sailed over the helplessly stranded Pinto and into the net for a 3-1 win for the home side.
