India women’s cricket team captain Mithali Raj has moved up a spot to second place in the latest ICC ODI Rankings for Women released on Tuesday, PTI reported.

Raj pushed Australia’s Ellyse Perry down to third place and now trails Australia’s Meg Lanning by 77 points, who leads the rankings with 804 points.

Raj, 34, had scored an unbeaten 70 against Sri Lanka in the ongoing Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.

India’s opening pair of Deepti Sharma and Thirush Kamini reached their career-best rankings of 38 and 41 respectively. Sharma jumped 17 places, while Kamini moved up 11 places.

Bangladesh captain Rumana Ahmed also was up four places to 31st, while Pakistan’s Nain Abidi zoomed two places to reach 26th spot.

In the bowlers’ rankings, left-arm spinner Ekta Bisht rose three places to 11th. Pakistan’s Sana Mir gained two slots to go up to seventh.
