Members of a local cricket club in England have initiated a fund-raising campaign for their teammate, who suffered serious injuries following a freak accident during a nets session, ESPNCricinfo reported.

Alex Tait was struck between the eyes while bowling in the nets during a practice session of the Lightcliffe Cricket Club earlier this week.

The report stated that Tait suffered over 15 fractured bones, including fractures to both eye sockets, his skull, nose, cheekbones and forehead. He has already spent over 10 days in hospital and After ten days in hospital and has been told to undergo multiple surgeries.
