India went through another disappointing day at the ISSF World Cup as Sanjeev Rajput and Harveen Srao draw a blank in their respective events in New Delhi on Sunday, reported PTI.

Rajput finished fifth in the 50 metre Rifle three positions event while Sraro was placed a lowly seventh in the women’s 10 metre air pistol event. Rajput was in the third position at the end of the prone series with a score of 305.5, make a two-place jump from the end of the kneeling series. An impressive sequence of scores in the prone series helped him enter the final.

A string of poor outings in the standing series dented Rajput’s hopes, managing only low nines and 8.4 in the fourth shot, just before the start of the elimination series, and finished with a score of 420.6. The two other Indian participants in the event, Chain Singh and Satyendra Singh, finished ninth and 13th respectively in the qualification stage.

In the women’s 10 metre air pistol final, Srao shot 133.6 to finish at seventh. Former world No.1 Heena Sidhu missed the cut after finishing 11th in the qualification stage with 378. Priyanka Susvirkar also bowed out after finishing at 36th.
