Juventus beat AC Milan 2-1 in a thrilling contest of high-quality football at Turin on Saturday. With the win, Juventus extended their lead at the top of the Serie A table to 11 points with Roma in second place with 59 points with a match in hand.
Juventus had lost both their clashes against Milan this season, which includes the Italian Super Cup final as well. However, Juventus were prepared not to repeat the same mistakes they made last time as they played solid, aggressive football.
Medhi Benatia gave Juventus the lead within 30 minutes, before Carlos Bacca equalised two minutes before half-time for Milan. The second half saw both teams trying to look for the winner but no to avail. In the 93rd minute Jose Sosa was sent off after he conceded his second straight yellow card for the night. Down to 10 men, Milan panicked and within two minutes, Mattia de Sciglio conceded a penalty owing to a handball. Paulo Dybala scored from the spot to give Juventus a dramatic win over. Juventus, who are on track for their sixth successive Scudetto, have won 31 consecutive Serie A home games.
