Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger on Saturday stated that he had taken a decision on his future at the club but preferred to remain tight-lipped about it, after Arsenal slumped to a 1-3 defeat to West Bromwich Alibion at the Hawthorns Stadium.

“I know what I will do with my future, you will soon know,” said Wenger at the post-match press conference. “Very soon.”

However, the 67-year-old preferred to focus more on his team’s poor form rather than speculation about his future.

“Today I do not necessarily worry about that,” said the Frenchman. “We are in a unique bad patch which we never had in 20 years. We lose game after game, that is for me, much more important than my future.”

And while Wenger said that he had not anyone at the club at his decision, he urged Arsenal to keep fighting.

“There is no other way now than fighting until the last game of the season. If it’s not good enough then you have to take the consequences,” said Wenger.

The 1-3 loss to West Brom was Arsenal’s fourth league loss in the last five matches and the pressure on the manager to quit has increased. A plane was chartered by Arsenal supporters in the first half with the banner “Wenger Out”, while while anti-Wenger banners were seen from Arsenal supporters in the second half.
