Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli was declared match-fit on Thursday, and is expected to take the field for the team’s next Indian Premier League match. RCB play Mumbai Indians on April 14 in Bengaluru.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India’s medical team confirmed that that he had completely recovered from his shoulder injury. Kohli had sustained the injury while fielding in the third Test against Australia in Ranchi in March, and had subsequently missed the rest of the series, including the deciding Test in Dharamsala.

The Indian captain had undergone rehabilitation after the injury to his right shoulder and had missed the first three IPL matches for his team. He was seen on field with RCB, taking part in fielding drills.
