For Delhi Daredevils, the ongoing Indian Premier League hasn’t been spectacular. They have won two games and have lost four out the six they played till date.

With 4 points and on a three-game losing streak, Delhi are struggling to regain momentum. Their bowling has been a strong point, but their inexperienced batting lineup seems to be the main problem.

However, despite slump in form, Delhi Daredevils chief coach Rahul Dravid felt his young outfit had it in them to deliver.

“I still have full faith in youngsters. The league is still at the halfway stage. It’s kind of funny that we are still sixth in the table with the highest net run rate (second highest to KKR). So I have full faith in our youngsters that they will turn it around in the next 7-8 matches,” said Dravid.

Talking about the trend of talented cricketers emerging from small towns across the country, Dravid was positive on the development and said it will benefit India cricket at large. “We have seen over time how talented cricketers from small towns have gone on to represent the country with distinction. This is because they had the requisite skill set and also proper training was available for them. This is something commendable,” he added.
