The official board for cricket in Pakistan, the PCB has written to its Indian counterpart the Board of Control for Cricket in India seeking compensation of 447 crore rupees due to the latter not sticking to the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two boards in 2014.

The MOU which states that the two countries would play six bilateral series between 2014 and 2023 has not been strictly followed as proposed series between India and Pakistan in November 2014 and December 2015 have not been played.

The notice, sent on May 3, has given the BCCI till May 10 to take cognizance of the facts laid out and respond to the same.

The agreement signed in 2014, had also seen PCB agree to the Big Three governance and financial model as laid out in the International Cricket Council. The PCB has complained that it suffered losses to the extent of $69, 576, 405 due to the two afore-mentioned series not being played.

The BCCI has refused to engage in sporting ties with the PCB citing lack of government clearance amidst strained relations between the two nations. The PCB had also brought this up in the recent ICC meeting and had notified the BCCI officials of their intentions of starting legal proceedings against the latter.
