Riding on his Australia Open Superseries triumph on Sunday, K Srikanth jumped three places in the latest world rankings to reach eighth spot, thereby breaking into the top 10. The 24-year-old recently won back-to-back Superseries titles in Indonesia and Australia.

Srikanth had dropped out of the top 10 in September last year and was ranked 31st on March 23 this year. A dream run of form started at the Singapore Open Superseries, where he lost to Sai Praneeth in the final. A hat-trick of finals and a 10-match unbeaten streak has seen him rise to the top of the Destination Dubai rankings as well.

Other movers among the singles players were Saina Nehwal and B Sai Praneeth, who rose from 16th to 15th in their respective ladders. Nehwal reached the quarter-final in Australia, while Sai Praneeth lost to Srikanth at the same stage. PV Sindhu dropped one place to No 5.

Ajay Jayaram is at 16th, while HS Prannoy dropped to 23rd.
