The Supreme Court on Friday issued notices to disqualified officials N Srinivasan and Niranjan Shah for their alleged hand in ‘hijacking’ and ‘blocking’ Lodha reforms during the July 26 SGM of the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
Srinivasan and Shah, both veteran administrators in the BCCI, were pulled up for attending the meeting, despite being disqualified for not meeting certain guidelines of the reforms passed by the Apex Court.
“BCCI and state associations can’t nominate disqualified persons as their nominees to attend meetings,” the SC stated.
The Committee of Administrators had complained about Srinivasan and Shah’s actions in its latest status report.

The matter has been adjourned till September 24.
Meanwhile, former president Anurag Thakur was handed a major reprieve after contempt charges levelled against him were dropped as the Court accepted his unconditional apology.
The Court also relieved Ramachandra Guha and Vikram Limaye from the Committee of Administrators. Guha had tendered his resignation citing various reasons, while Limaye is leaving the post after being nominated as Managing Director of the Securities and Exchange Board of India.
