Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun is making rapid strides in the domestic cricket circles. The 17-year-old has been named in the Mumbai squad for the JY Lele All India Under-19 Invitational One Day Tournament on Saturday. Tendulkar has previously played for Mumbai at the under-14 and U-16 level as well.

The younger Tendulkar is a left-arm pacer and was seen bowling in the England team’s nets recently, ahead of the series against South Africa.

The biggest news to emerge out of his net stint though was his yorker to Jonny Bairstow that left the wicketkeeper-batsman hobbling. The 17-year-old has often been part of the net sessions with the English team.

The tournament will begin on September 16 and will be played till September 23 at Baroda.
