K Srikanth’s title triumph at the Denmark Open Superseries Premier has propelled him to world No 4 in the latest badminton men’s singles rankings released on Thursday. The 24-year-old, who was ranked eighth before the Denmark Open started, won his third Superseries title of the year in Odense, which pushed him up four spots. His highest career ranking is world No 3, achieved in 2015.

The top three in the men’s rankings, Viktor Axelsen, Son Wan Ho and Lin Dan, remained static despite not going past the quarter-finals in Denmark.

India’s HS Prannoy also moved up two spots to 12th after reaching the quarter-finals in Denmark. B Sai Praneeth and Sameer Verma also rose one spot to 15th and 18th respectively.

Saina Nehwal climbed up a rung to 11th after a quarter-final finish in Odense, while PV Sindhu remained world No 2 despite losing in the second round.
