India’s Vijender Singh is likely to face British and Commonwealth Super Middleweight champion Rocky Fielding on March 30, 2018 in United Kingdom, the boxers management firm IOS announced on Tuesday.

Vijender, who won a bronze medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, has a 9-0 record on the pro circuit and had defeated WBO Oriental Super Middleweight Champion Zulpikar Maimaitiali in his last bout.

“In the latest Commonwealth Boxing Council bulletin, British and Commonwealth Super middleweight Champion Rocky Fielding has been ordered to defend his newly-acquired super-middleweight title against Indian superstar Vijender Singh,” the release said.

Fielding won the belt on September 30, 2017 with a crushing victory over David Brophy in Liverpool.

The duo would now need to agree the terms for the fight in the next few months.
