India beat South Korea in the women compound team final to win the gold medal at the Asian Archery Championships on Thursday. The team, comprising Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Trisha Deb and Parveena beat So Chaewon, Choi Bomin and Song Yun Soo 230-227.

Meanwhile, the Indian men compound team of Abhishek Verma, Gurwinder Singh and Rajat Chauhan lost by two points in the final to the South Korean team – Kim Jongho, Choi Yonghee and Kim Taeyoon – that scored 234.

The recurve men team – Atanu Das, Jayanta Talukdar and Yashdev – lost 1-5 to Kim Jongho, Lee Woo Seok and Lee Seungyun.

On Wednesday, Abhishek won gold in the compound men event and Jyothi a bronze in the women compound event.
