Rajneesh Gurbani, on Saturday, became the second bowler ever to take a hat-trick in a Ranji Trophy final.

The right-arm pacer ran through the Delhi lower-order, picking up the team’s last four wickets in the morning of the second day’s play to swing the momentum of the final in Vidarbha’s favour.

From 271/6, Delhi folded to 295 all out, because of Rajneesh’s four-wicket burst.

Rajneesh, in the penultimate ball of the 101st over, got rid of Vikas Mishra with a deadly inswinger that knocked the timber.

The next ball, he flattened the stumps of Navdeep Saini with another inswinger. In the first ball of the 103rd over, he uprooted the off-stump of centurion Dhruv Shorey to complete the hat-trick.

Three balls later, he clean-bowled Kulwant Khejroliya to end Delhi’s first innings.

Rajneesh has been in excellent form this season, picking up 37 wickets in six games so far.
