Two-time Indian Premier League champions Chennai Super Kings’ Twitter handle, on Thursday, dropped a major hint at former skipper MS Dhoni, batting lynchpin Suresh Raina and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja featuring during the upcoming season.

As the clock ticks down before the eight teams announce the players they have retained from the previous seasons, CSK’s Twitter handle celebrated its city’s 378th year with the message “Madras is 378”. On social media, though, fans were sent in a tizzy as they attempted to decode the cryptic message.

The jersey numbers 7 and 3 were worn by skipper Dhoni and Raina respectively. Jadeja, who entered the CSK setup only in 2012, wears number 8 for franchise and country. Raina and Dhoni are widely speculated to make returns. The left-hander is also the league’s all-time top-run getter.

Chennai and Rajasthan Royals – who are back in the league after a two-year suspension – have the option of picking their former players provided they played for Rising Pune Supergiant and Gujarat Lions last season.
